1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos available. It makes use of lidar to navigate, and create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean app to let you set schedules and alter the S1's behaviour.
When I tried the S1, it was quick to map our downstairs, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, plus medium-pile carpeting and a large area rug. It was able to drive close to walls and even across raised thresholds without issue. However it was a bit difficult getting down the stairs in one step. The S1 performed admirably in cleaning hard floors. The mop sped along on its flat side and swung up when it was near carpets or carpets.
The docking station of the S1 automatically empties its trash bin and fills its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated waters prior to each mopping session. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water for deep cleaning. The S1 water tank can be able to accommodate 12 mopping sessions, however this will differ depending on the frequency you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires periodic maintenance to keep it working well. For this, you'll need to rinse out the water tank that is dirty regularly to avoid it from clogging. You will also need to clean your sensors and swivel wheel regularly to avoid them becoming clogged up with dirt or dust. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs' all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop provides a powerful solution for cleaning. The Ecovacs robot vacuum has 8,700Pa of suction and offers many unique features, including full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that avoids obstacles and cleans around furniture. The mopping feature is impressive, with mops that rotate that actually lift and scrub the floor, instead of simply drag the pad across it. Mops can also be dried and cleaned at the base station if needed.
The robot is simple to setup and use, with a simple interface that guides you through the procedure. It also comes with a hand vacuum which can be used to clean those hard-to reach areas that the robot can't reach. There are two water tanks which are automatically emptied or filled. It comes with a variety of settings that can be used to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, and has a powerful suction that easily removes all kinds of debris, including the tiny dust particles that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are solid as well, though it can sometimes get caught in the small rug or area mats I have in my home (which is something you can mitigate by creating a virtual boundary in the application). Mopping capabilities are excellent, with a pair spinning mop pads that lift and scrub the floor instead of simply dragging the pad across it. The mops can also be cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station when needed. The mops are also filled from the top of the base station when needed.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop were released earlier in the year. However, their latest flagship model has even more impressive features. It has fantastic cleaning results, and it is easy to maintain. This makes it a worthy contender for our list of the best mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a longer side brush ensure an efficient, customized clean.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, picking up large and small particles from both hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned the most filthy areas well, and avoiding tangled pet hairs and other messes. The sweeping capabilities are augmented by an additional side brush that automatically swings out to tackle hard-to-reach corners, as well as an extended mop pad that deploys alongside baseboards.
Its navigation is smart it can navigate tight spaces and negotiating the stairs without a hitch. It is able to move from one room to another without having to reverse direction.
