Robots That Vacuum And Mop: 11 Things You're Not Doing

Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt) and wet mess (spills or stains) in one go without having to swap out devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.

A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bin and refill their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads using an appropriate dock.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has a lot to offer for its modest price and is one of the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is easy, and the quick-start guide can get you running in no time. You'll have a an entire dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor solution.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at fast speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you want for each room.

For example, you can decide to let the robot clean up the kitchen and living rooms but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are also excellent and the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. The only drawback is that the robot is known to smash into walls and objects at full speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning on the app will show you precisely what the robot has accomplished, where it's going, and which obstacles he has run into or avoided.

The docking station comes with a handy LCD screen that indicates the time when maintenance is required for cleaning up debris and washing the water tank that is dirty. It is also able to mix detergent into the tank by itself with a 600ml of eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop is able to run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can last 136 mins in normal mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. You can view the complete cleaning details within the app, which is clearly laid out and easily understood although we would have liked to be able distinguish between a vacuum and mop clean, when looking at a clean area in the history of cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot mop and vacuum. The model this year has a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This improves the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pull up small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners may overlook.

Like the two other Roborock models I've tried the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to can help it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by adding a dual camera which can detect objects and determine whether they're a wall or another surface. It then can alter its course in a way that is automatic and clean around the objects without stumbling.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've examined, but it's also packed with features. Its sleek, angular design is striking, and it only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which resumes the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child-lock, and a home-button to bring the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin fills up automatically.

The only downside I've discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if it's required), it's a pain to take off the mount to wash it manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of intelligent features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can set up and manage these via the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. However, you'll have to go through a few hoops to enable voice control on this model which is a pity considering the quality of its performance.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with its innovative features, top suction power and cutting-edge mowing abilities. Its intelligent design allows for personalized and efficient cleaning, while also saving time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful choices available. This powerful vacuum cleans up dry mess, including pet hair and crumbs. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves floors spotlessly clean, even with a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet when in operation and only occasionally bursting during mode changes or self-maintenance.

Another noteworthy feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brushes, which allows it to get into hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean furniture, such as tables and chairs' legs. The robot is also able to reach under furniture that is low-profile which makes it an ideal option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush tilts automatically down when it spots wet spots.  best automatic vacuum  is a wonderful feature that enables the X40 to avoid damaging floors by the frequent back-and-forth movement.

In contrast to other robots that are limited to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum at the same time. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and not skip carpeted areas, or vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.

The app is user-friendly and simple to use, and the X40's smart features are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, change modes, view maps and floor plans, and manage mopping setting. The X40 can also monitor its progress and notify you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers numerous features that make it an ideal option for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a huge 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It will also tell you the moment when the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and alert you to the situation before it overflows.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. It has a number of characteristics that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that uses two high-speed mops to clean floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and has a high maximum suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, small dirt particles, and clean up spills and dirty spots.

The mop is cleaned and dried in the base station every time they are used. This is a fantastic feature because it prevents the growth of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen in other robot mop and vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.

There are a lot of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. The app lets you define these preferences, or use the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and provides a variety of options for customizing the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are a lot of features that other robots don't include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles rather than using a manual setting.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks sophisticated and classy. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this list however it's not a lot of weight. It feels solid and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors and in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
